KSLCDI Review and Planning Meeting


Background and Information

The Kailash Sacred Landscape Conservation and Development Initiative (KSLCDI) is on its five-year Implementation Phase (2012 – 2017), and has an array of proposed activities which it implements through its partner institutions in China, India, and Nepal. Every year ICIMOD and its partners come together for a review and planning meeting mainly to discuss the progress of activities being implemented, issues and challenges faced during implementation, and funds being utilized against the activities planned. Based on the progress made in 2015, country partners and ICIMOD professionals will also plan activities for 2016 and discuss the milestones achieved in the Impact Pathways laid out for the programme.

Objectives of Review and Planning Meeting:

  • Review the current country implementation plans (2015);
  • Prepare the implementation plans until 2016;
  • Review the implementation of the Regional Communication Strategy endorsed during 2014 review and planning meeting;
  • Lunch of online reporting system for partner reporting; 
  • Review and strengthen the institutional mechanism for implementation.

For the upcoming meeting, the first day (1 September) will be a follow up on the workshop on Regional Communication Strategy held during 2014 review and planning meeting. An online reporting system for KSLCDI partners will also be lunched on 1 September. The review and planning meeting will kick off from 2 September and continue till 3 September.  Accommodation arrangement for ICIMOD/GIZ staff has been arranged at Gokarna Forest Resort.
