Sangita Dandekhya joined ICIMOD in January 2015 as a Survey and Data Analyst in the Water and Air Theme. She is a civil engineer and graduated in 2011 from Khwopa Engineering College, Purbanchal University, India. Ms Dandekhya previously worked as a civil engineer in GIS and remote sensing for GeoSpatial Systems Pvt Ltd, a joint venture with a Japanese Company in Nepal. She is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree as a South Asian Water (SAWA) Fellow under International Development Research Centre (IDRC)-SAWA Fellowship in Interdisciplinary Water Resource Management (IWRM) at the Nepal Engineering College Centre for Post Graduate Studies, Pokhara University. Her master’s thesis is on ‘Understanding farm Households' Vulnerability to Climate Variability in Dadhikot VDC, Bhaktapur’. This work is based on the grounded theory of qualitative research. She is currently working with the HI-AWARE team and helping with situation analysis reports.
