Janine Kuriger

Janine Kuriger is Director of Cooperation of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) at the Swiss Embassy, New Delhi. She specializes in project management and policy dialogue in the fields of climate change mitigation and adaptation and sustainable development, and has longstanding experience in development cooperation.

Before her appointment to India, she was working as Programme Manager of SDC’s Global Programme on Climate Change in the Andean Region and South Africa, and co-chaired the OECD/DAC/EPOC Task Team on Climate Change and Development. She was also Deputy Head of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Lima, and worked for the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs as Programme Manager for infrastructure financing and promotion of trade and environmentally sound technologies.

She holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Lausanne, and Certificates of Advanced Studies in General Management and Corporate Management from the Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland.
