2018 GBIF Asia Regional Nodes Meeting

The 2018 Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) Asia Regional Nodes Meeting is being organized by the GBIF Secretariat; the Asia Regional Subcommittee of GBIF participant nodes; the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD); and the Ministry of Forests and Environment, Nepal. The meeting will be held in Kathmandu, Nepal from 17 to 18 September 2018.

The main objective of the meeting is to seek feedback and input from GBIF node managers from Asia, as well as from invited observers, in order to facilitate effective planning and subsequent implementation of biodiversity data publishing and use in Asia. The meeting is supported by funds allocated to regional nodes meetings under the 2018 GBIF Work Programme, with co-funding from ICIMOD.
